Melissa graduated with a BA degree in Live Performance at AFDA in 2002.
Melissa has been successfully running speech & drama classes at various schools , as well as her own drama school Drama Dynamics, since 2009 at various Barnyard Theaters across Gauteng. She offers weekly classes, performance training, private lessons and workshops.
She taught Gr 10 English and Art & Culture at Clapham High School and has also completed the Eisteddfod Adjudicating Course.
No stranger to the stage, Melissa has performed in many theatre productions: In 2003 at the Grahamstown Festival in a stage production written by Deon Opperman, and ‘Mother of the Brides’ in 2004, directed by Joe Watson.
Melissa has also starred in various tv adverts for products such as Frutopia, Vitalinea and South African Airways, but her most acclaimed performance would be that of Mrs Braiden in Generations in 2005.
She’s directed numerous school concerts such as ‘Night at the Loreto Library’ at Loreto School Queenswood, ‘The Yellow Brick Road’ at CBC & ‘School of Cool’ at Farrarmere Primary and runs The Loreto Performance Club.
She has directed and continues to direct many Drama Dynamics shows at the Barnyard Theatres.
